Register makes an account that lives on this device, as a file the browser saves: a key pair, your name, and whatever the site grants you. The site keeps no record of it — signing in is loading the file.
There is no recovery. A lost file is a lost account; whoever holds the file holds the account. A passphrase seals the secret inside it; without one the file is plain and your device protects it.
A visitor without a name is named by the page, from a few questions. There are no wrong answers, and an empty one is a shrug.
The page draws with WebGL2 (or WebGPU). A browser shield that blocks fingerprinting — Brave's Aggressive setting — turns WebGL off; so does a phone GPU on the browser's blocklist. On Brave, tap the lion in the address bar and set Block fingerprinting to Standard for this site, then reload.
